The bay of Quinte has been producing large numbers of large walleye this winter. I have posted lots of pics of decent fish being caught, I thought I’d post more picks of some fantastic Quinte gold being caught today.
We are going to continue to have to wait to get onto the ice for a bit longer it looks like. In areas of the bay from the Deseronto bridge, long Reach, Hay Bay, to Mallory Bay, most areas looked like there was a covering of approx 3″ and less, there were vast discoloured yellow ice patches in every area. Also please keep in mind in areas of strong current there would be considerably less ice cover there. With the warm temperatures and rain expected for this evening and into tomorrow, it looks like we still have some time to wait before safe ice conditions.
